NIETS organized the “standards enhancement of scoring of subjective tests” workshop for Thai language teachers.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) organized “the standards enhancement of scoring of subjective tests” workshop for Thai language teachers. There were 365 Thai language teachers under Office of the Basic Education Commission participating in the workshop. These activities were two durations: during 6-9 Sep 2019 for 180 Thai language teachers workshop and 10-13 Sep 2019 for 185 Thai language teachers workshop.

The workshop topics were 1) criteria of scoring of subjective tests in Thai language subject, which consisted of writing standards to summarizing main ideas, tests scoring criteria of writing main idea and writing stories from pictures. Ajarn Nopparat Sane, Ajarn Ornkanya Anansapsuk, Ajarn Wasitthi Suwanphanich, and Ajarn Sophidtha Chathaworn from the Sirindhorn Thai Language Institute of Chulalongkorn University, were guest speakers and 2) standards of scoring of subjective tests. It aimed to support scoring of essay tests in Thai language subject of academic year 2019, and to develop Thai language teachers’ knowledge for improving teaching and learning method in further. Assoc. Prof. Samphan Phanphruk was the guest speaker for this section.
