NIETS had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 O-NET academic year 2020 at Nakhon Si Thammarat.

    The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS)  had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 Ordinary National Educational Test (O-NET) academic year 2020 at Chada At hotel, Nakhon Si Thammarat province on Friday 17th July 2020. The 55 participants were representatives of the Provincial Education Office from 14 provinces, Primary Educational Service Area Office from 30 testing centers, Secondary Educational Service Area Office from 6 testing centers, Office of the Private Education from 5 provinces.

    Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D., the director of NIETS, signified O-NET five standards of National Educational Test as followed: 1) test administration standards, 2) testing personnel standard, 3) test development standard, 4) test printing standard, and 5) test report and test result standard. She emphasized the testing centers and testing fields' representatives on strictly enforcing the regulations on practice guideline for testing procedure in B.E.2557 (A.D.2014) in order to increase the public confidence toward the organization.
    In addition, she added the suggestion of the more use of O-NET score for enhancing educational quality and developing students' learning achievement in classroom, in school, and affiliation, including teachers' instruction, and school directors' administration.

    Mr. Patana Thanakorn, Head of Testing Administration and Center Network Division, gave a conclusion of the previous year O-NET administration and declared O-NET year plan of the academic year 2020 for testing centers and testing fields. He emphasized the important of all testing centers staff to monitor testing fields and staffs strictly following the instruction in the manual and the regulation of testing administering. NIETS also gave an opportunity to public in sharing such comments and feedbacks for improvement via 4 channels as followed: (1) directly line to executives, (2) by post (3) email: testing@niets.or.th and (4) call center +662-217-3800
    The tentative schedules of grade 6 O-NET academic year 2020 will be in 13rd March 2021 (test announcement on 21st April 2021), for grade 9 will be on 13rd - 14th March 2021 (test announcement on 22nd April 2021), and for grade 12 will be on 27th - 28th March 2021 (test announcement on 27th April 2021).
