NIETS director delivered opening remark the scoring center for an essay writing test of Thai language subject for grade 9 students and thanked all centers, scorers and staff.

On 28^th February 2022, the Director of National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D., was the president of the opening of the scoring marking centers for an essay writing test of Thai language subject of O-NET, grade 9 students. There are 3 centers located at National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), Khon Kaen University and Naresuan University. The event was conducted through Zoom system at the NIETS meeting room 3501.

NIETS used the essay writing test has been first used for grade 9 students in Thai language subject of O-NET, 2022 academic year. There is an item in the test that measures synopsis and expressing an opinion in which students have to integrated thinking skill to writing skill through logical thinking, associating and sub skills in finding main idea. The scoring is scheduled from 28^th February to 11^th March, 2022. After the opening remark, the scorers had been trained on how to use the program of essay writing scoring and the criteria. Anyways, NIETS also has preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 and guidelines for scorers and staff. Everyone is reminded to follow the measure strictly.

NIETS thanked all universities for the cooperation with NIETS in being the scoring centers, having key speakers and staff worked together at the center as well as thanked related educational organizations that got the scorers to attend this training and to cooperate in scoring.
