NIETS visited O-NET test field for grade 9 students in the 2022 academic year at Bangkok Christian College.

On 12 February 2023, Director of National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D.) and team visited the testing field for Ordinary National Educational Test (O-NET) for grade 9 students at Bangkok Christian College. There were 266 students who sat for O-NET at this field.
For the 2022 academic year O-NET, there were 507,748 test takers while the O-NET with digital testing was conducted for 433 grade 9 students from 7 schools.
- Matthayomnayao School, Chachoengsao 58 students
- Srisawatpitthayakom School, Kanchanaburi 32 students
- Thongphaphomwittaya School, Kanchanaburi 59 students
- Udomsitthisuksa School, Kanchanaburi 110 students
- Romkhao School, Kanchanaburi 88 students
- Sai Yok Noi Witthaya School 75 students
- Prachamongkol School 11 students
In addition, there were 4 subjects (Mathematics, Science, English, Thai language) in
O-NET of grade 9 students in the 2022 academic year. For Thai language exam, there was one essay writing item that contained 3 questions which were summarizing a passage, writing an analyze and writing to show opinion based on a passage (30 marks). After an announcement of
O-NET result, NIETS will write a report on findings from an essay writing in Thai language so that students, teachers, school administrative and interested people can use this report for teaching development.
Since NIETS arranged “The utilization of O-NET for teaching and learning development” project, the information can be used for planning lessons and enhancing teaching. Moreover, NIETS has created a digital testing system; therefore, O-NET test takers will realize their strengths and weaknesses and they can increase their personal improvement.
