NIETS developed the capacity for measuring and assessment in “analysis of examination quality and examinee using Item Response Theory (IRT) via R program.”

Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D., the Director of National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, executed a training of “analysis of examination quality and examinee using Item Response Theory (IRT) via R program” for official officers during May 27 -28, 2025, at meeting room 3501. It aimed to develop the capacity for measuring and assessment and give a chance for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and measuring and assessment concept review in terms of theories and practices. The lecturers were instructors from the office of registration and evaluation, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, Asst.Prof. Anusorn Koetsri, Ph.D., and Asst.Prof. Thansini Laosom, Ph.D, educated in the topic of the foundation of Item Response Theory (IRT), the proper selection of models for the national examination, practices of exams quality analysis, model fit analysis of IPT model, person fit and group fit for examinees via R program.
