NIETS conferred an online preparation meeting for the actual test project of Thai language communications capability and the English language for teenagers (12 – 18 years).

On June 23, 2025, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, had an online meeting with related agencies to prepare the actual test project of Thai language communications capability in reading skill, critical thinking, and summary writing using the actual test format. The director of NIETS (Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D.) assigned the deputy director (Warunee Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D) to open a meeting and stated the test project of capability assessment in Thai language communications aimed to measure the capability of Thai language for communications of test takers based on a key foundational knowledge. It is associated with other disciplines for Thai language skill development that conformed with 21st-century skills. This project will be initiated for students at grade 6 level (4,000 persons), at grade 9 level (3,000 persons), at grade 12 level (3,000 persons) and have a test schedule on August 5–6, 2025. For the project of English language capability testing development for teenagers (12–18 years) it is provided to assess the English language capability according to levels classification. It is designed to lead off testing for 1,000 students at grades 6, 9, and 12 and will be organized testing on August 6, 2025.
The chief of the measurement and assessment instrument development and construction division (Ms. Aumpornrat Sopikul) and an expert in foreign language (Ms. Jiraporn Kotham) explained information about the pattern of text and test format of 2 projects, which have to prepare skills testing in reading, speaking, reading, and writing. This information will support the original affiliation units, interested schools and students that aim to join and make ready for the test, and notify them of the test system using typing and speaking for giving answers.
Furthermore, representatives from the testing administration and center network division informed the test administration process and timeline of operational arrangements that would be organized by digital systems. The deadline for student list submission is during July 1–15, 2025 (for those schools and provinces attending the pilot test projects).
