The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) corporate with Prapariyattitham School (General Education, Group 8) hosted a curriculum development training for schools and educational institutes on Thursday 2nd August 2018, concerning curriculum standards according to the basic educational core curriculum in B.E. 2551 (A.C. 2008) and revised in B.E. 2560 (A.C. 2017) in Mathematics, Science and Geography subjects in order to enhance test result of B-NET and O-NET examination of academic year 2018 at Charoen Hotel, Udonthani Province.
Associate Professor Dr. Samphan Phanpruk, the director of NIETS, spoke on the professional teaching skills in order to apply B-NET and O-NET score for the improvement of learning and teaching which should adapt the Four Noble Truths by determining a target of learning and teaching (learner quality, standard, significant measurement), behavior improvement and method of learning and teaching of both students and teachers, including administrative method for executives which focused on learner first and improving school-based assessment that be consistent with national assessments especially OLE(Objective, Learning Experience, and Evaluation) in order to ensure how any provided activities that can fulfill objectives above or not. NIETS also analysis the basic statistic data and MEAN score that it led to develop and improve the method of learning and teaching better in further.
In addition, he also suggested the benefit of B-NET score that it can be applied for the improvement of learning and teaching by considering score report as follows:
1) Student level — improve own study plan and led to own academic performance better
2) Teacher level — teaching performance. A teacher is able to use the score as a pre-assessment of his/her teaching performance as it includes statistical results, such as mean, mode, and standard deviation.
3) Educational executive level — consider B-NET results as a guideline to improve teaching and learning as well as for school assessment.
4) Provincial level —use the score to improve methods of teaching and learning as well as educational quality assurance
In addition, He analyzed and publicized, basic statistic score and average (MEAN) in order to educational can take score to improve and to develop the method of testing and learning better as well as educational quality assurance.
