Minister of Education visited and encouraged teachers participated in “Thai Language Essay Test Scoring Standard” Workshop.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) corporate with Sirindhorn Thai Language Institute, Chulalongkorn University hosted the workshop on “Thai Language Essay Test Scoring Standard” for 238 Thai teachers, target group in central region of Thailand, during 25^th - 28^th October 2018 at Palazzo Hotel, Bangkok.

On 27^th October 2018, Dr.Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, MD,  (Minister of Education), Associate Professor Samphan Phanpruk, Ph.D. (Director of NIETS), and Boonrak Yodphet, Ph.D. (Secretary General of Office of Basic Education Commission) visited and encouraged participated teachers.

Director of NIETS defined the objectives of providing this workshop, which is to develop the teachers’ knowledge and understanding of Thai language essay test scoring standard. The participants who passed this training according to the determined criteria will be selected to be examiners for scoring Thai language subject essay test of Grade 6 in the next academic year.

In addition, he reemphasized that O-NET of Grade 6 in the academic year 2018 will be held on 2^nd February 2019 and the result announcement will be on 25^th March 2019. NIETS has already publicized the necessity information such as answer sheet sample, test item samples, format and numbers of items in each subject, test schedules, and instructions for writing subjective test answers on website, www.niets.or.th.
