NIETS had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at Songkhla province.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at the Centara hotel, Hat Yai distinct on Tuesday 2^nd July 2019. 65 participants in the meeting were president of testing center, director, school supervisor, working group of Provincial and Local Education Office, representatives from Primary and Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Office of the Private Education Commission, seven provinces of Southern; Narathiwat, Pattani, Phatthalung, Yala, Songkhla, and Satun Province.

Asst.Prof. Sirida  Burachat, Ph.D., the director of NIETS spoke on raising education quality in accordance with policies of the Ministry of Education, direction for educational measurement and evaluation into education reform, use of O-NET score results for enhancing learning achievement. Therefore, NIETS will publicize quality analysis of testing items and recommend affiliation and relevant organization bring O-NET score result which clarified by learning standards, subject area and learning strands which is useful for school administrators, affiliation,  director-general of Regional Education Office and director of Provincial Education Office in order to acknowledge and develop education quality in their responsible area. Therefore, NIETS advertise schools enter to our website in order to prepare students from using information such as test blueprint, testing patterns, format and numbers of items in each subject, test item samples, example of answer sheet in each subjects in order to study and trial this useful information in improving methods of teaching and learning in classroom.

Mr. Patana Thanakorn, Head of Testing Administration Department, gave a brief overview of O-NET in the previous year and prepare administering for O-NET academic year 2019 by supervise testing centers and testing fields implementing in accordance with work schedule such as schools should send students’ information, testing centers provide testing field and testing room, schools should inform increase or decrease student list via O-NET system. And he emphasized how important it is for all testing centers staff to monitor testing fields and schools to strictly following the instruction in the manual in order to increase the public confidence toward the organization (transparency) by sending NIETS representatives in each testing centers in order to supervise in test administrating. The tentative schedule of O-NET for the academic year 2019 for grade 6 will be held on 1^st February 2020 (test result announcement on 25^th March 2019), for grade 9 will be held on 1^st-2^nd February 2020 (test result announcement on 26^th March 2020), and for grade 12 will be held on 29^th February – 1^st March 2020 (test result announcement on 27^th March 2020).
