On 8th July 2019, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) provide voluntary public service activities, namely “give happiness to blind children” in celebrating the auspicious occasion of the coronation ceremony of the His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun which aimed to encourage education aspect.  

Asst.Prof. Sirida  Burachat, Ph.D., the director of NIETS, executives, and NIETS officers, participated in the activities and give O-NET test items in form of braille code of the academic year 2018, sport equipment such as goalball that sport equipment for blind person, classroom objects include snacks and beverages at foundation for the blind in Thailand under the patronage of H.M. the Queen by having Mr.Khan Prachuabmoh (president of this foundation), Dr.Bundit Padyen (school director of the Bangkok school for the blind) and teachers are welcomed us.

The objectives of providing this activity were: 1) to make teachers and schools better understanding about importance of national educational testing, 2) able to create tools for educational measurement and assessment, 3) to take score results for any practical purposes in planning and developing enhance learning achievement, and 4) to encourage blind person can access useful information of national educational testing.

These activities divided into three sections:

1) Activities for development of teachers: providing workshop about creating tools for educational measurement and assessment by Miss Saitong Puagsantear, Ph.D. (Deputy Director) and workshop about taking O-NET score to enhance learning achievement by Miss Warunee Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D. (Deputy Director)

2) Activities for development of blind children by improving of educational environment for the development of grade 1 to grade 6 ch8ildren through recreation activities by NIETS officers.

and 3) voluntary service activities by making the handmade teaching materials as educational media and mutual knowledge exchange about braille code literacy by Ajarn Sujidtra Tikwattananon.
