NIETS had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at Nakhon Ratchasima province.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at the Imperial hotel & convention centre, Nakhon Ratchasima province on Thursday 11^th July 2019. 52 participants in the meeting were president of testing center, director, school supervisor, working group of Provincial and Local Education Office, representatives from Primary and Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Office of the Private Education Commission, four provinces of Northeast; Chaiyaphum, Buriram, Surin, and Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Asst.Prof. Sirida  Burachat, Ph.D., the director of NIETS recommended to use of O-NET score results to develop the method of teaching and learning in order to enhance learning achievement including publicize analysis result of O-NET in the previous year. NIETS also advertise schools and students enter to our website to download example of answer sheet in each subjects in order to study and trial this useful information in improving methods of teaching and learning in classroom. The tentative schedule of O-NET for the academic year 2019 for grade 6 will be held on 1^st February 2020 (test result announcement on 25^th March 2019), for grade 9 will be held on 1^st-2^nd February 2020 (test result announcement on 26^th March 2020), and for grade 12 will be held on 29^th February – 1^st March 2020 (test result announcement on 27^th March 2020). Before testing will be held, NIETS has publicized useful information such as test blueprint, test item samples, format and numbers of items in each subject, and answer sheet sample on our website at www.niets.or.th

Mr. Patana Thanakorn, Head of Testing Administration Department, gave a brief overview of O-NET in the previous year and prepare administering for O-NET academic year 2019 by supervise testing centers and testing fields implementing in accordance with work schedule such as schools should send students’ information via O-NET system during 1^st July – 31^st August 2019, testing centers provide testing field and testing room via O-NET system during 1^st July – 30^th September 2019, schools should inform increase or decrease student list via O-NET system during 10^th – 31^st October 2019, test register for grade 6 and grade 9 will held on 1^st – 15^th October 2019, and test register for grade 12 will held on 1^st – 15^th November 2019. And he reemphasized how important it is for all testing centers staff to monitor testing fields and schools to strictly follow the regulation of testing administering.

In addition, he also invite them who interested to participate the human resource development project in terms of testing for head of testing field, committee and investigator, which aimed to (1) aware the importance of administering tests and testing administration standard, (2) have knowledge and understand well as the standards of NIETS mentioned, (3) develop their skills to increase testing administration standard, and (4) was guaranteed potential for administering tests.
