On Thursday 5th September 2019, Deputy Education Minister, Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich, Ph.D. visited the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) with Advisor to Deputy Education Minister, Mr.Narong Duding, Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Education, Mrs. Jermmart Junglertsiri and Committee for strategy and policy to the Deputy Education Minister.They were warmly welcomed by Board member of NIETS, Mr.Kittirat Mungkalakeeree. And director of NIETS, Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D., gave them a brief overview of NIETS’s administering.

Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich handed over policies to Board member of NIETS, executives and officers. She remarked that four important principles as guideline for supervise NIETS were: 1) integrity 2) transparency 3) administration aims to achieve in terms of efficiency and effectiveness 4) operating according to the principles of law, upholding the principles of the rule of law and the legal state.

She completed the policies by reminding of four important policies and work plan. The first policy was driving Coding course (curriculum) to contribute to the development of the students with the knowledge and ability to think and analyze. The second was elevating the College of Agriculture and Technology, enhancing reading, writing and volunteerism to contribute to the development of the learners with the knowledge and ability to think critically, make agriculture as the foundation of people’s life by creating a Smart Farmer and leverage the skills of farmers at all levels and all ages with entrepreneur and farmers’ participation. The third was system of promoting reading and writing for the public to provide new knowledge and keep abreast of world events. The last policy was to support volunteer staff under the Royal Initiative of His Majesty King to create a public service atmosphere of Thai people. As a central agent of national education testing, NIETS had an important role in creating the qualified testing system and was an important part of the process for driving the national education to have quality more than pushing those policies to lead to serious actions and as concrete.

Furthermore, the director of NIETS brought them to visit the E-testing room and showed how the programs and testing methods worked with the E-Testing system of NIETS.
