    The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) had the meeting for grade 6 and grade 9 O-NET testing center representatives academic year 2020 at Topland hotel & Convention Centre, Phitsanulok province on Tuesday 4thAugust 2020.The participants were representatives of the Provincial Education Office, Primary Educational Service Area Office, and Secondary Educational Service Area Office from Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, Uttaradit and Uthai Thani provinces.

    Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D., the director of NIETS, signified that NIETS had been implementing five standards of National Educational Testing as followed: 1) test administration standards, 2) testing personnel standards, 3) test development standards, 4) test printing standards, and 5) test report and test result standards. Thus, she requested that all the testing centers, testing fields, and proctors strictly complied with O-NET management manual and NIETS regulations on test conducting guidelines in B.E.2557 (A.D.2014). These ensured fair and transparent testing procedure in line with the National Educational Testing Standards. In addition, she suggested the more use of O-NET score for enhancing educational quality and developing students' learning achievement by implementing O-NET score report of each level like report for student level, teacher level, school director level, and affiliation level.

    Mr. Patana Thanakorn, Head of Testing Administration and Center Network Division, said in the clarify meeting to grade 6 and grade 9 O-NET testing centers, academic year 2020 that the objectives were O-NET administration summary of academic year 2019 and preparing for the academic year 2020. He included working calendar such as students’ information submission, data addition, testing fields and rooms organizing, etc. He emphasized that all testing centers, testing fields, and proctors had to strictly comply with the O-NET management manual as well.
O-NET test schedules academic year 2020 are as followed: grade 6 is on 13rd March 2021 (test result announcement on April, 21st 2021), for grade 9 will be on 13rd - 14th March 2021 (test result announcement on April, 22nd 2021), and for grade 12 will be on 27th - 28th March 2021 (test result announcement on April, 27th 2021).
