To summarize the amount of O- NET grade 6 and 9 test takers for academic year 2020.

            The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) provided the registration system to confirm the examination participation for school/ affiliates and grade 6, 9 and CVE.3 students academic year 2020. This system is available on 25th January – 5th February 2021 via www.niets.or.th which there is no exam registration fees.

            After the registration system is closed, the total amount of grade 6 and 9 students are 949,141 examinees as followed: (summary as of 5th February 2021, at 11.59 p.m.)

            There are 33,416 V-NET test-participating students from total of 163,758 examinees which estimated to be 20.41 percentages.

            Therefore, the amounts of test-participating students don't actually count due to there were parents, students, and schools request to add information more after the system is closed. Because some of them don’t have computer or internet that able to enter this system so then they coordinate and require directly to NIETS in order to confirm the exam participation which NIETS is in the process of implementing.

            However, if any schools would like to add students’ name list who would like to participate this, then can coordinate to add through testing centers or the parents or students (by individual) can also apply the petition form for confirming the test participation with attaching the ID card and send via testing@niets.or.th within February, 15th 2021.

            And the circumstances of COVID-19 spreading, NIETS aware chiefly in health and safety of test taker, so NIETS announced about precautionary measures to prevent spread of COVID-19 for national testing academic year 2021 as followed:

  1. In case of test taker who has risks or exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 as followed:
    1. The test taker or your family who stayed in same shelter with travel history to high-risk province such as Samut Sakhon province or other provinces that may be announced more later or announcement of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
    2. The test taker who have history close contact with an COVID-19 infect people or quarantined for 14 days already or received a negative test result
    3. The test taker who has symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) such as a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, must also strictly comply with disease prevention measures of various governmental organization and have to inform the travel history such as first name, surname, seat no. towards Testing Field Administration Division in order to prepare the testing room proper.
  2. To requests the cooperation of all test taker and personnel at testing field to wear a face mask (surgical or cloth mask) and usually clean the hands with alcohol gel or wash the hands with soap.
  3. The testing field have to check temperature the test taker’s body before entering the testing room.
  4. To requests the cooperation of parents’ test taker, wear the face mask (surgical or cloth mask) and usually clean the hands with alcohol gel or wash the hands with soap during stay at testing field.

In addition, the test taker able to follow the additional news via NIETS website (www.niets.or.th) and announcement of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) including prevention measures of province as testing field.
