NIETS held a meeting to prepare TEC-W (the 2nd round/2023).

On 9 March 2023, NIETS organized a meeting in order to prepare the 2nd Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) with digital testing for 2023 fiscal year. There were agents from 25 testing-fields among 24 provinces attend the meeting through Zoom meeting system.
NIETS Deputy Director (Warunee Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D.) welcomed all attendees and talked about TEC-W which is a valid assessment of English language proficiency for the workplace and tests all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) according to the CEFR for people who are going to join a labor market. In addition, TEC-W is provided to senior year students and other people. TEC-W is conducted 4 sessions at 28 testing-fields in Thailand and 1 session at National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) in a year. After test takers sit for the test, they will receive the test score report that is valid for 2 years after the announcement of test result. Chief of Testing Administration and Center Network Division (Mr. Pattana Thanakorn) also talked about preparing the 2nd Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) with digital testing for 2023 fiscal year at Saturday 11 March, 2023. He informed that there are 564 test takers who sit for the test. Furthermore, he explained processes of conducting the test with digital testing, NIETS roles as well as staff and testing-fields’ responsibilities. Moreover, digital testing procedures were recommended to the attendees, especially the carefulness of system usage. At the end of the meeting, the attendees were welcomed to ask questions, to give feedbacks and to evaluate the meeting.
