NIETS organized a meeting in preparation for O-NET for grade 9 and 12 in the 2023 academic year.

On 30 June 2023, National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) set up a Zoom meeting to discuss with all O-NET test centers in order to prepare the exam for grades 9 and 12 in the 2023 academic year.  In addition, Directors of Educational Service Area Office and Education Supervisor from Secondary Educational Service Area Offices attended this meeting.

NIETS Deputy Director (Warunee Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D.) delivered welcoming speech and talked about O-NET with digital testing for grades 9 and 12 that was conducted appropriately last year. She also mentioned that everyone is considerably preparing to arrange O-NET for grades 9 and 12 this academic year. Moreover, the Deputy Director told that NIETS is piloting the digital testing in O-NET for grades 6 and 9 in which only one test center at one test field will be implemented the digital system. For grade 12, O-NET will be arranged with digital testing as last year. Then, the Deputy Director thanked test centers and test fields for their cooperation so that the O-NET can be managed properly and smoothly, following the standard of national educational test.

Chief of Testing Administration and Center Network Division (Mr. Pattana Thanakorn) gave a brief overall picture of O-NET in the 2022 academic year, summarized several problems from using digital testing and talked about preparation for O-NET of grades 6,9,12 in the 2023 academic year. In this meeting, NIETS have asked for support a cooperation from the test centers, informing the schools to submit students name list within the deadline. Lastly, NIETS and all participants have shared ideas for test improvement.
