NIETS arranged the first preparatory meeting for testing services in proficiency measurement and learning assessment, and TEC-W.

On December 12, 2023, National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, organized the preparatory meeting for two testing services: that were 1) proficiency measurement and learning assessment for the first time of fiscal year 2024; and 2) Test of English Communication in the Workplace: TEC-W, the 1^st time of fiscal year 2024 based on Digital Testing service. This online meeting used the Zoom Cloud Meeting program at NIETS meeting room 3501 to confer all participants who were committees at the exam site level from 29 examination locations and 26 provinces.

Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of NIETS, assigned Warunee  Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D, Deputy Director, to address the first time meeting in the fiscal year 2024 of preparation testing services on proficiency measurement and learning assessment and on TEC-W Digital Testing system which would be held on Saturday December 16, 2023. The key objective of the meeting was to ensure the testing service arrangement was ready for the Digital Testing system and for testing operations to comply with official assessment standards of national education.

Chief of Testing Administration and Center Network Division (Mr. Pattana Thanakorn) stated about NIETS’s testing service, structure of Digital Testing system management, roles and duties of NIETS and examination sites, operating procedure of the committee at the exam site level, categories of testing management documents, planning of testing operations on proficiency measurement and learning assessment, and TEC-W Digital Testing system.

A computer academician of information technology working group (Mr. Panupong Maita) informed us the preparatory process for Digital Testing system, the operational plan of system testing, providing operative computers and related instruments, system access methods, testing processing methods, testing documents sending, and other advice. The last session opened for participant inquiries and comments.
