On January 11, 2024, Police General Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, with a team on-site visited National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) and listened to operational problems and obstacles, including sharing suggestions for NIETS following the ministry’s policy. For a heartily greeting reception, Chairman of NIETS Board (Mr. Kittirat Mungkalakeeree) made a welcome speech, and Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of NIETS presented the operational report and action plan of NIETS along with NIETS board member (Mr. Thienchai Na Nakorn), executives, and official officers at meeting room 3501.

Police General Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, told that it was his intention to visit and encourage giving to agencies under Ministry of Education management. Today was an opportunity for NIETS to visit and receive operational report according to organization missions such as national education testing by digital testing, Thai language subjective exams which improve children’s skills in reading, writing, thinking, analysis, and critical consideration, and enhancing teachers to be expert for subjective exam checking as well. There were the usages of national testing results and an operational development plan for NIETS in the future. Moreover, he suggested that the Ministry of Education policies be applied as functionally driven to the operational missions of NIETS, for example, the assessment system of education level comparison and the cooperation network between agencies, especially, the Department of Learning Encouragement (DOLE), the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, and the Office of the Basic Education Commission, in order to push essential policies to build “Good Learning, with Happiness” based on the Student-centered learning concept. Finally, he gave performance guidelines for NIETS executives and officers in routine work focusing on accuracy, promptness, benefit, and economy for enhancing productive effects on execution.
