NIETS had an online explication conference with V-NET coordination testing centers for preparatory V-NET testing using the digital testing system.

On July 2, 2024, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, organized an online explication conference of the Vocational National Educational Test, or V-NET, in the fiscal year 2024 with a working group from coordination testing centers. There were participants, consisting of the directors of 19 vocational education institutes, the director of the institute of vocational education agriculture and the official officers, conferred via the Zoom cloud meeting program.

Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of NIETS assigned the deputy director (Warunee  Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D) to open the conference and mentioned the objectives of V-NET testing, the preparatory for V-NET testing in the academic year 2024 using the digital testing system, the complement and worth of testing, and the advantages test takers earned from testing. Meanwhile, NIETS required cooperation and emphasized a commitment of duties and roles at work, the operational flows following the testing management manual, and testing room entry regulations based on restrictiveness. Finally, NIETS appreciated coordination testing centers for their collaboration on V-NET testing operations in the last year with well-organized operations according to the standards of national education testing.

The chief of testing administration and center network division (Mr.Pattana Thanakorn) stated the objectives of the meeting, consisting of (1) a summary of V-NET testing operations in the academic year 2023; (2) an explanation of policy, procedure, and guidelines related to testing operations in the academic year 2024; and (3) a hearing session for related suggestions from participants, including the introduction of testing management usability. Furthermore, there was an announcement of the V-NET testing schedule for the academic year 2024, which will start the testing on January 18 – 19, and 25 – 26, 2025. NIETS prepares a V-NET testing manual for the collaboration testing centers as a book and an electronic file for download on the official website: www.niets.or.th.

The computer technical officer (Mr.Phanupong Maita) advised on the technique of V-NET testing system usage, such as the information delivery of educational institutes and the operational procedures in examination halls. The last session opened for participants to have discussion and suggestions.
