NIETS had an online workshop on the course of subjective exam marking for teachers teaching Thai language at primary school level 6 in the fiscal year 2024.

On July 18 - 19, 2024, Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, arranged an online workshop, “Course of subjective exam marking for teachers teaching Thai language at primary school level 6,” in the fiscal year 2024. There were 210 participants who were Thai language teachers from the Office of the Basic Education Commission, the Office of the Private Education Commission, the Department of Local Administration, the Department of Education Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Bureau of Education Pattaya, the Special Education Bureau, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation.

The objectives of this workshop aimed to enhance the preparatory skills of teachers who do subjective exam marking of Thai language subjects at primary school level 6, using the computer system, review criteria of subjective exam marking, and practice subjective exam marking by using the computer system. Moreover, it gave recommendations for the testing results report of O-NET of personnel students and the testing analysis of educational institutes issued 1- 6, which were classified by subject, lesson content, standards of knowledge, and indicators. It included suggestions for the information usage from the testing results report from O-NET testing and findings from subjective exam marking last year for applying to learning and teaching development and designed plans for upgrading the measuring and assessment of each subject.

The content of this workshop were;

“the standards of an online subjective exam marking,” lectured by Asst. Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of NIETS.

“The practical guidelines of subjective exam marking,” lectured by Saitong Paugsuntear, Ph.D., the deputy director of NIETS.

“the criteria of an online subjective exam marking, the practice of an online subjective exam marking,” lectured by Asst. Prof. Duanghathai Luedang.

For the criteria of standard for passing the training “teachers for subjective exam marking on Thai language subject of NIETS”, participants must have testing scores greater than 80% and have good behavior and attitudes of working in order to improve an online subjective exam marking in the future.
