Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D, the director of NIETS assigned the deputy director (Warunee Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D) to welcome participants and inform issues related to the O-NET testing. The main agenda concerned the Office of the Election Commission of Thailand's declaration that Saturday, February 1, 2025, would be the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) election day, which coincides with the schedule of the O-NET testing date at the grade 6 level. For recognizing the importance of the election and encouraging civic participation in the democratic administration system, NIETS decided to postpone the O-NET testing schedule for grade 6 students in regional areas across 76 provinces (excluding Bangkok) as follows:
Bangkok: Saturday, February 1, 2025
Regional Areas: Monday, February 3, 2025
The test schedule, subject codes, subjects, and duration will be unchanged as per the original timetable (see the full announcement for details).

Additionally, committees at the examination hall level are urged to strictly adhere to the procedures and guidelines set up by NIETS.
