NIETS organized the second round of N-NET testing in the academic year 2024 for creating equality for having the national educational test opportunity.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) organized the Non-Formal National Educational Test (N-NET) in a digital testing format, which is in line with the Ministry of Education’s focus and the policies of the Minister of Education (Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob) and the Deputy Minister of Education (Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul) “Smart Learning, Smart Thinking, Smart Doing, and create a lifelong learning society.” Additionally, NIETS organized a paper-pencil testing format for students in correctional institutions, prisons, juvenile and adolescent training and development centers, vocational protection and training centers, juvenile detention and protection centers, girls’ reception centers, Princess Mother National Institute on Drug Abuse Treatment (PMNIDAT), and educational institutions that are not yet equipped with computer equipment and internet network systems. In organizing the national educational testing, NIETS took into account the creation of opportunities and educational equality for groups of children and adolescents, the disabled, the poor, the disadvantaged, the elderly, groups of people with diverse genders, and all vulnerable groups in order to facilitate all learners to have equal and equitable access to national educational tests.
In this matter, NIETS is organizing the 2nd round of N-NET test in the academic year 2024 for primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary levels on Saturday, February 8, and on Sunday, 9, 2025, with the Provincial Office of Learning Encouragement Provincial Offices and the Bangkok Office of Learning Encouragement as examination centers. There are a total of 143,379 eligible test takers, divided into:
1. A test in Digital Testing format for elementary, lower secondary, and upper secondary students outside of correctional institutions, prisons, juvenile training and education centers, vocational protection and training centers, juvenile observation and protection centers, girls’ reception centers, and PMNIDAT. There are 132,733 eligible test takers consisting of
1.1 Elementary Level: 7,042 people
1.2 Lower Secondary Level: 52,989 people
1.3 Upper Secondary level: 72,702 people
2. A test in paper-pencil format for elementary, lower secondary, and upper secondary students in correctional institutions, prisons, juvenile training and education centers, protection and vocational training centers, juvenile observation and protection centers, girls’ reception centers, PMNIDAT, and educational institutions that are not yet equipped with computer equipment and internet networks. There are 10,646 eligible applicants, consisting of
2.1 Elementary Level: 3,581 people
2.2 Lower Secondary Level: 3,610 people
2.3 Upper Secondary Level: 3,455 people
The results of the N-NET testing were used as data for comparing the quality of education in order to use them in planning and to improve the quality of education management for students at the elementary, lower secondary, and upper secondary levels according to the Non-Formal Education Curriculum of Basic Education B.E. 2008, as well as data to support decision-making at the national policy level. The assessment results can also be used to transfer learning results from formal education, non-formal education, and informal education. NIETS then will announce the testing results on March 7, 2025, on the official website www.niets.or.th.
