National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, offered the New Year and Teacher Day gift of the year 2025 align with the policies of the Minister of Education (Police General Permpoon Chidchob) for operating the proficiency testing of learning measurement and assessment and the Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) via the digital testing system to students, teachers, educational personnel, and interested persons (free of charge for application) on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the examination halls nationwide.
The proficiency testing of learning measurement and assessment is the test of learner’s knowledge and understanding in the field of learning measurement and assessment. The testing results would apply for improving the instrument of learner assessment. There were 1,087 eligible test takers, and those who got scores of more than 60 percent of the testing criteria will get the certificate from NIETS.
The Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) is the English language proficiency for communication in the workplace covering 4 skills testing consisting of listening, speaking, reading, and writing for people who attend to be in the workforce community. It conforms to the standards criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR. There were 5,258 eligible test takers, and those who got scores of more than 80 percent would summit the test results for comparing teaching proficiency testing results (professional teacher license) in the field of English language teaching at the Secretariat Office of the Teachers’ Council of Thailand.
On this occasion, NIETS appreciated the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), universities, and Rajabhat universities that handled cooperation centers and examination halls for these tests, including personnel who supported the testing administration conforming to the national testing standards.
