NIETS arranged the Test of English Communication in the Workplace: TEC-W for English proficiency test comply with CEFR criteria.

On April 22, 2025, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, organized the Test of English Communication in the Workplace: TEC-W using the digital testing system on April at NIETS office’s E-Testing room.

The TEC-W testing is a valid assessment of English language proficiency in four skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing for communication in the workplace that conforms to the standards criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR. Meanwhile, it was used to support the national strategy plan of development and to enhance people’s life-existent capabilities, especially in the workforce age, by having English communications as the necessary skills of the 21st century.

NIETS announced the test result on April 23, 2025, and the test takers who got scores more than 85% can apply the test result in comparison with the teacher professional competency test and the teacher’s professional license submission from the Teachers’ Council of Thailand or for other application purposes.
