NIETS organized a Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) at NIETS examination hall.

On May 22, 2025, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, organized a Test of English Communication in the Workplace (TEC-W) via a digital testing system at NIETS examination hall.

The TEC-W testing is a valid assessment of English language proficiency skills for communication in the workplace consisting of 4 skills, which are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, that conforms to the standards criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR. It harmonizes with the goals of the national strategy for improving and enhancing lifelong human capacities, especially the work-force age, to have the English communication skills that are an essential skill in the 21^st century.

NIETS announced the testing results on May 23, 2025. For the test takers who have more than 85% of scores, they can apply to compare scores with the test and the assessment of professional competence of teachers (the professional teacher license) with a major of teaching English language at the Secretariat Office of the Teachers’ Council of Thailand or apply for the evidence to reduce procedures of the academic standing consideration or for the promotion of academic status according to the criteria of the Office of the Teacher Civil Service and Educational Personnel Commission (OTEPC) or for other purposes.
