NIETS organized a clarification meeting for the O-NET testing format change at the grade 9 level in the academic year 2025.

On June 24, 2025, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or NIETS, organized an online meeting to elucidate the format adjustment of the O-NET testing at the grade 9 level in the academic year 2025. There were relevant units and examination centers attended in this meeting, consisting of the Office of the Private Education Commission, 76 locations of the Provincial Education Office, 183 locations of the Primary Educational Service Area Office (PESAO), 62 locations of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, the Department of Education Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Bureau of Education Pattaya, Office of the Private Education from 5 southern border provinces. The meeting aimed to provide information on the change of testing format from paper-pencil to using the digital testing system. Involved units should communicate all that information to schools under their responsibilities in order to inspect equipment and readiness for testing facilitation.

The director of NIETS (Asst.Prof. Sirida Burachat, Ph.D.) assigned the deputy director (Warunee  Liewwiwatchai, Ph.D) to give a warm greeting to participants and state guidelines of testing format adjustment of the O-NET testing at the grade 9 level in the academic year 2025. She also opened the session for receiving opinions and suggestions and informed the schedule for preparing the O-NET testing in the academic year 2025.  

In the academic year 2025, NIETS has assigned schools to send student lists for O-NET testing participation at levels of grades 6, 9, and 12 during August 1-31, 2025, via testing arrangement of the system on the official website (www.niets.or.th).
