NIETS had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at Phitsanulok province.

The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization) (NIETS) had the meeting for NIETS testing center representatives of grade 6 and grade 9 for O-NET academic year 2019 at the Topland hotel & convention centre, Phitsanulok province on Tuesday 23^rd July 2019. 72 participants in the meeting were Provincial and Local Education Office, Director of Primary and Secondary Educational Service Area Office, working group of O-NET testing center from eight provinces of Northern; Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Sukhothai and Uttaradit province.

Mr. Patana Thanakorn, Head of Testing Administration Department, spoke on objective of conducted I-NET meeting of grade 6 and grade 9 were to gave an overview of I-NET in the previous year and to prepare administering for O-NET academic year 2019 by reemphasized NIETS testing center representatives (1) set up working group and provide meeting, (2) inform the work schedule to schools, (3) supervise, follow up about sending the students’ information and conduct testing fields/test room, and (4) emphasize how important it is for all testing centers staff to monitor testing fields and schools to strictly following the instruction in the manual and the regulation of testing administering in 2014 (B.E. 2557) in order to increase the public confidence toward the organization (transparency). NIETS also gave an opportunity to public in sharing such comments and feedbacks for improvement via four channels as followed: (1) directly line to executive (2) by post/mail (3) email: testing@niets.or.th and (4) call center +662-217-3800

The tentative schedule of O-NET for the academic year 2019 for grade 6 will be held on 1^st February 2020 (test result announcement on 25^th March 2019), for grade 9 will be held on 1^st-2^nd February 2020 (test result announcement on 26^th March 2020), and for grade 12 will be held on 29^th February – 1^st March 2020 (test result announcement on 27^th March 2020). Before testing will be held, NIETS has publicized useful information such as test blueprint, test item samples, format and numbers of items in each subject, and answer sheet sample on our website at www.niets.or.th.
