National Institute of Educational Testing Service(Public organization) or NIETS organized Grade 6 O-NET in Academic Year 2558 on February 27, 2559  and the test result of Grade 6 O-NET will be announced publicly on March 28, 2559. As NIETS's formerly declared , Grade 9 O-NET were organized on February 27th-29th and the scores will be reflected to examinees on  March 29, 2559 at testing locations nationwide.

Vice Minister of Education Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, together with Assoc.Prpf.Dr.Samphan Panpruek, Director of NIETS,  Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission(OBAC) Mr. Karoon Sakunpradit, Director Educational Testing Bureau Dr. Wisanu Supsombat, Mr.Somyos Siribun the Director of Primary Educational Service Area (PESA) and others visited Grade 6 O-NET at Phayathai School with warm welcome from Dr.Natthanan Panlainak, Director of Samsen Kindergarden School as Chief of Phayathai School testing location.   

The Vice Minister also thanked presses of their interesting of this visit. Generally the Grade 6 O-NET was smooth. NITES Director and Secretary General of OBAC joined this event reflecting the importance of O-NET while Thai people are raising trustworthy of testing procedure. The government agreed about the value of national testing, so NIETS is responsible to make the national testing be fair justice,  transparent, academic-based and true value to educational system on reflecting students' achievement against national standards.    The government's policy also deployed NIETS to open test results of all level including clear specification of national tests.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Sampun Punpruek, NIETS Director informed details of Grade 6 O-NET in A.Y. 2558 composing of   789,951  examinees, 29,108 rooms, 4,710 test locations, 267 test centers. The 275 examinees being Visual Impairments Children composed of 34 using Braille  test,  59 requiring assistants to read and 182 Low Vision examinees.

The NITES Board of Directors will consider about to declare national tests in this March.

Grade 9 O-NET in A.Y. 2558 composing of   712,295 examinees, 26,011 rooms, 4,712 test locations, 309 test centers. The 259 examinees being Visual Impairments Children composed of 67 using Braille  test,  57 requiring assistants to read and 135 Low Vision examinees.

NITES also provides 4 complaint channels as  (1) Direct to NITES Director;  (2) Letter to NIETS;      (3) webmaster@niets.or.th  and (4) call  center  02-217-3800.

NIETS will announce individual's T-Scores of the A.Y. 2558 Grade 6 and 9 O-NET on 26th  and 29th March, 2559 on www.niets.or.th for each examinee can compare the scores by subjects or compare with other examinees to improve self-learning. Besides the examinees can automatically download and print individual E-Scores through NITES website without fee.

O-NET scores classified by school-sizes(small, medium, large and extra large), location(urban, sub urban), provinces,  Educational Service Area and national jurisdiction also will be announced for teachers and administrators can apply as reflection  to go on improving learning management and quality of students' achievement.

Schools and universities requiring Grade 6 and 9 scores for selecting candidates to study in next level can check through Reporting Service System(RPS) in  www.niets.or.th.
